Indigenous month of prayer. This is an opportunity to take time to listen, reflect and act.

Creator God,

As we embark on a journey to discover how we can reconcile our hearts and minds, we ask that you help us pause from the business of each day in June to explore how we live out our call as your church, children and followers of Jesus Christ.

The first week in June we ask for prayers for our indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people. Creator, we plead for the safety, care and support of our most vulnerable.

Remember, we are all family, we are all connected.

The second week in June we ask for prayers for our environment, traditional knowledge and territory. Creator, we plead for clean water, concern for mother earth and for our ears and hearts be open to your truth.

Remember, we are all family, we are all connected.

The third week in June we ask for prayers for our languages, cultures and arts. Creator, we plead that our brothers, sisters and others be free of discrimination, that all may live fully into the lives the Creator intended and that people support our humanness, culture, arts and language whenever possible.

Remember, we are all family, we are all connected.

The fourth week in June we ask for prayers for reconciliation. Creator, we plead that all God’s children learn to walk together, live together and care for each other day by day.

Remember, we are all family, we are all connected.

maarsii, hiy hiy, we give thanks
