Tastes of Syria, Tales of Newcomers

Come enjoy a talent-filled afternoon with stories, food, and music!

On February 8th, 2025, SSUC is excited for the opportunity to share in some authentic Syrian dishes prepared by Syrian community members. We will sample these dishes buffet-style and hear tales from storytellers of families forced to leave home and find courage in a new land. To transition us between stories, musicians will brighten your heart with cello and piano.

Tickets are $30 and include both the buffet and performance. Available through the SSUC website and Eventbrite

This is a fundraiser for our Refugee Committee to bring a three-year-old, his mother, and his father out of a refugee camp under siege; if you are unable to attend, please consider donating on our website in lieu of your presence and note the name of this event with your donation.
