DESCRIPTION:In preparation for the season of Lent\, you are invited to engage in an age-old tradition of having a pancake dinner. The word shrove is derived from shrive\, referring to the practice of confession of sins as a preparation for the lent. Lent is also the season when people used to fast. These days during Lent we are invited to discern what it is we need to fast on – such as chocolate\, and indulgences in shopping. Please consider starting the season off by coming to the church for pancakes and fun! \nOn February 17th\, doors open at 5 PM and we will finish serving pancakes at 7PM. It will be a freewill offering. \nEveryone is welcome\, bring your family and friends.
